Samsung announced that the E6 e-reader will soon be available in the US market. They have formed a partnership with Barnes & Noble for an e-book store. It'll cost $299 when launched.

The MIDhybrid is an dual-display e-reader with an E Ink panel on the left and a small LCD plus a keypad on the right. It's running Android 1.6 (over a Marvell chipset). It also has 3G, bluetooth and a webcam. Check out this 15 minutes preview video.

Daza Electronics announce the E-002, a 6" (800x600) E Ink e-reader that supports PDF and ePub formats, and also the E-003 which adds a QWERTY keyboard and WiFi or 3G:
Remember the Boeye G10? It's a 9.7" e-reader that looks very much like Amazon's Kindle, that Boeye released back in January. Here's a nice video of that reader from CeBit:
A new poll of around 3000 consumers by ChangeWave Research finds that 40% of people planning to buy an e-reader in the next 90 dsays expect to buy an Apple iPad. 28% say they expect to get a Kindle. 27% of current e-reader owners say that they would have bought an iPad instead of what they got.

It seems that Gigabyte are developing an E Ink (6" 800x600) e-reader (called EB10) that's running on the Android OS (or Linux or Win CE 6.0) using a 667Mhz Samsung processor. They want to allow users to install any software on the reader: RSS readers, news aggregators, e-book readers, web browser and more. Check the following video preview:

Sri Peruvemba from E Ink has talked to PC Magazine, and he gives some very interesting information. He expects color E Ink to arrive soon, and devices based on this technology would ship in the beginning of 2011. This color will be more like the color you would see in a newspaper, and not like an LCD display. We can expect more on this from E Ink at the SID show in May.
Sri also reveals that they are working on much-faster E Ink displays, but it can take around 2-3 years for such...
Engadget managed to get a nice hands on with the upcoming ASUS DR-900. They say it's rather light, the Sipix display looks crisp, it seems to be as slow as an E Ink, but the touch experience was not so great.
Laptop has posted a review of the Sony Reader Daily edition. This is a 7" touch E Ink reader with free 3G (AT&T) costs $399. And they're not too happy......

There were a lot of rumors about ASUS' upcoming e-readers, and today they have officially announced the first one, the DR-900. It's a 9" Sipix e-reader with a web-browser (that also works in landscape mode) and virtual keyboard and supports handwriting input. It's got Wi-Fi and 3G, and an optional WiMax module, 4GB of internal memory and an SD card slot. It supports PDF, TXT, MP3 and ePub.
